Shannon* couldn’t believe she was pregnant. Living in Cambridge while going back to school part-time and caring for her busy toddler, Shannon needed to talk to someone about her options. Through a quick online search, Shannon learned that SHORE Centre, the only agency in Waterloo Region offering support for all three pregnancy options, was an hour-long bus ride away.

Later that week Shannon and her daughter caught the iXpress bus to Kitchener. After transferring at Charles St. Terminal, they finally made it to our office. The trip had taken just over an hour, but to Shannon and her restless toddler, it felt like an eternity.

Women in Cambridge deserve better.

Earlier this month, SHORE Centre partnered with the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank to offer services in their building right across the street from the Ainslie St. Bus Terminal.  We are happy to announce that in July we will begin offering confidential pregnancy options support services one day per week at this new location.

Funding from the Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation got us started, but we need your help to make this project sustainable.

Your donation will ensure that women like Shannon can access the support they need in their own community.

No more missing work or school to spend hours on public transit to get to and from Kitchener.

Please help us promote choice in Cambridge and across Waterloo Region and make a donation today.
