Birth Control Appointments

SHORE Centre offers the following types of birth control appointments.

At this time, all contraception services take place in person with your clinician at one of our 3 locations in Kitchener, Guelph, or Linwood.

Birth Control Consultation

At this appointment you will have the opportunity to discuss all birth control options and find the one that fits your wants and needs best.

Referral for Tubal Ligation

A consultation appointment with a SHORE clinician to discuss tubal ligation as a permanent method of birth control. SHORE Centre does not perform tubal ligation procedures, but we can refer you to a clinician/clinic who does. A referral is a required step to booking a tubal ligation procedure. Typically, you can expect to hear back from the tubal ligation clinician/clinic within 2 to 3 months with more information about booking your procedure.

Referral for Vasectomy

A consultation appointment with a SHORE clinician to discuss as a permanent method of birth control. SHORE Centre does not perform vasectomies, but we can refer you to a clinician/clinic who does. A referral is a required step to booking a vasectomy procedure. Typically, you can expect to hear back from the vasectomy clinician/clinic within 2 to 3 months with more information about booking your procedure.

IUD Insertion and Removal

At this appointment you will have your IUD inserted or removed. This appointment will take place at SHORE Centre’s office. You will receive information about location and how to prepare for the appointment when you book with us.

Implant Insertion and Removal

At this appointment you will have your implant inserted or removed. This appointment will take place at SHORE Centre’s office. You will receive information about location and how to prepare for the appointment when you book with us.

Picking Up Condoms, Dams, and Lube at SHORE Centre

SHORE Centre offers free condoms (latex free options available), internal and extenal condoms available, dams, and personal lubricant. Please call ahead to confirm office hours due to COVID-19 limitations.
